Success Map

Situated along Highway 32 and the Great Sandhills Railway line, Success is a small community located within the Rural Municipality of Riverside No. 168 in Census Division No. 8 in Saskatchewan. Nearby, the Success Power Station, operated by SaskPower, serves as a notable local landmark and infrastructure feature tied to the area.

Success has maintained a remarkably stable population over recent years, recording 45 residents in both the 2016 and 2021 Canadian censuses, a figure that itself represented a modest increase from 40 residents counted in 2011. The community covers a land area of approximately 1.36 square kilometres, giving it a population density of around 33.1 people per square kilometre. In the 2021 census, 18 of its 25 private dwellings were occupied. Originally incorporated as a village on October 25, 1912, Success carried that designation for over a century before restructuring on July 15, 2022, at which point it relinquished village status to become a special service area under the jurisdiction of the RM of Riverside No. 168. Among those associated with the community is notable resident Bridget Moran.
